Bayshore CEO Talks Cybersecurity With Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich On Coffee & Markets

Last week Founder & CEO Francis Cianfrocca had the opportunity to visit with Fmr. Speaker Gingrich on Coffee & Markets, discussing a host of various topics including cyber security and the challenges facing the US in developing effective policy to defend against the growing threats we face. The Republican Presidential candidate had some very interesting insights, speaking candidly about the role he thinks Congress should be playing to address the problem(s), and what he’d do as President to facilitate a more robust defense posture to fight against it.

Founder's Podcast: The Rise of Cyber Warfare

In the May 5, 2011 Edition of “Coffee & Markets” at The New Ledger, Bayshore Networks Founder & CEO Francis Cianfrocca sat down with Ben Domenech and Brad Jackson to discuss “the rise of cyber warfare and the cybersecurity industrial complex.”

A news item in the Washington Examiner written by Tim Carney caught Ben’s and Brad’s attention and was discussed at length with Francis. Titled “The rise of the cybersecurity-industrial complex” Carney suggests that the Cyber threats we face are being overblown by vendor opportunism seeking to bilk the Government (and the American taxpayer) out of millions and billions of dollars in order to defend against a threat that Carney and others believe is minimal and already sufficiently manageable.

We couldn’t disagree more, and Francis makes the case with Ben and Brad.
